Andre McXavier Roberts is a renowned American professional football player best known for his acclaimed career in the National Football League (NFL). Born on January 9, 1988, in Columbia, South Carolina, Roberts developed a keen interest in football from a young age. He attended Spring Valley High School before joining The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, where he played football.

Roberts began his college football career at The Citadel Bulldogs football team as a wide receiver, where he set numerous school records. Even while pursuing his school career, Roberts never restricted himself to the football field. He was a solid scholar and was named in the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll during the 2006-2007 season.

Clubbed with his highly dynamic skills on the field, Roberts had a stand-out collegiate career. He holds the school record for career receptions (285), receiving yards (3,743), receiving touchdowns (37), and punt return yards (1,160). His awards include All-Southern Conference (SoCon) honors and being named a two-time Walter Payton Award finalist for the most outstanding player in NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).

Upon graduating, Roberts declared himself for the 2010 NFL Draft. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the 3rd round, 88th overall making him the highest NFL draft pick in The Citadel history.

During his tenure with the Arizona Cardinals from 2010 to 2013, Roberts showed his prowess on the field. Notably, in the 2012 NFL season, he played in all 16 games with 15 starts, recording 64 receptions for 759 yards and five touchdowns.

Roberts then moved to the Washington Redskins for the 2014-2015 season. After his stint with the Redskins, he played with various teams such as the Detroit Lions in 2016, the Atlanta Falcons in 2017, the New York Jets in 2018, the Buffalo Bills in 2019 and 2020, and most recently, the Houston Texans in 2021.

Throughout his career, Roberts has established himself as one of the top return specialists in the league. His exceptional contribution to the special teams was recognized when he was named to his first Pro Bowl as a return specialist following the 2018 season.
