BIOGRAPHY

Rudy Gobert is one of the top NBA players and a two-time Defensive Player of the Year. He was born on June 26, 1992 in Saint-Quentin, France to parents Corinne Gobert and Rudy Bourgarel. He started playing basketball when he was six years old and did not start playing organized basketball until he was thirteen.

Gobert attended college at the University of Saint Joseph’s in Paris, France where he played three seasons from 2010-2011 to 2012-2013. During this time he averaged 10 points per game along with 8 rebounds per game during his last season with them. After graduating from college, Gobert entered into the 2013 NBA Draft where he was selected 27th overall by Denver Nuggets but later traded to Utah Jazz before making his debut for them during the 2013–14 season against Oklahoma City Thunder which ended up being a loss for Utah Jazz despite getting 18 rebounds from him in that match which earned him much respect from other teams as well as recognition among fans all across world due to his exceptional defensive abilities .
