In the NCAA Tournament loss against Kansas State, he made his standout performance by leading Kentucky with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Post the 2019 loss to Auburn in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament, he declared his intention to forgo his last two seasons of collegiate eligibility, marking a season’s end but not the final chapter in his basketball journey.
