Josh Hart Bio
Josh Hart is a professional basketball player currently playing for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on March 6, 1995 in Silver Spring, Maryland and attended Sidwell Friends School in Washington D.C. before transferring to Oak Hill Academy in Virginia for his senior year of high school. After graduating from high school, he committed to Villanova University where he became one of the most dominant players in college basketball history and led his team to two consecutive national championship titles during his time there. Following an illustrious four-year career at Villanova, Hart declared for the 2017 NBA Draft where he was selected 30th overall by the Utah Jazz before being traded to Los Angeles Lakers on draft day.
During his rookie season with Lakers, Hart steadily grew as a player and earned All-Rookie Second Team honors at the end of regular season while averaging 7 points per game off bench role. His success continued into second year as well when he established himself as reliable shooting option while starting 50 out 57 games that season. His consistent performances eventually led him to earn recognition throughout league and be named Most Improved Player runner-up following 2019-20 regular campaign when averaged over 13 points per night while shooting 37 percent from deep range which helped Los Angeles make postseason appearance after missing it previous six seasons prior that point.
