Drew Eubanks Bio
Drew Eubanks is an American professional basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on October 28, 1996 in Salem, Oregon.
Eubanks attended Sprague High School in Salem where he earned three varsity letters and helped lead his team to back-to-back OSAA 5A state championships as a junior and senior. During his senior year, he averaged 22 points and 11 rebounds per game while shooting 60 percent from the field. After high school, Eubanks attended Oregon State University but left after two years to pursue a professional career. In July 2018, he signed with Medi Bayreuth of Germany’s first division BBL league where he went on to play 76 games over two seasons averaging 8.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game while shooting 54 percent from the field overall during those two campaigns combined
In June 2020 Eubanks decided to join forces with San Antonio Spurs signing a 2 way contract with them for this season(2020–21) .He had already played 3 games by mid March 2021 scoring 12points off bench when starting center LaMarcus Aldridge got injured ,after which drew started most of remaining regular season games tallying up averages of 7points ,3rebounds ,and 1assist per game .His impressive debut season included 10 blocks & 6 steals along side very efficient shooting numbers like 62%FG & 77%FT making him one piece of rotational depth for upcoming playoffs .For 21/22season Drew has already been signed up by spurs as well so that’s quite good start for his NBA career especially if you consider how short it’s been till now .
Overall Drew is highly regarded among nba fraternity as hard working guy particularly known for effective defense & hustle plays at power forward position .At 24 ,he shows lot of potential going into future particularly due to great athleticism & motor skills coupled with ever improving mid range shot selection ..It’s worth noting that not many rookie big men make such impactful entrance into NBA world straight outta college so it would be interesting what kind of improvements we can expect from him next few seasons under Spurs system who have long history off grooming young talents ..
