Bryson Jeremy Stott, born on October 6, 1997, is an accomplished American professional baseball player who carved unprecedented success in the baseball arena throughout years. Known for dexterity and precision, Stott currently plays the inspirational role of a second baseman for the popular team, the Philadelphia Phillies, a team that competes in Major League Baseball (MLB). The seasoned player began his much-admired sports career in college where he was a key player in the UNLV baseball team. His exceptional performance did not go unnoticed, and in 2019, he attracted the keen eyes of the Phillies who proudly selected him during the first round of the Major League Baseball draft. Stott made his debut in the MLB fraternity in 2022, setting in motion a series of impressive performances. The seasoned athlete was raised in Enterprise, Nevada, where he attended his high school at Desert Oasis. He committed to pursuing baseball in college at the University of Las Vegas (UNLV).
His commitment to the game was a family affair as both of Stott’s parents were also UNLV proud alumni. Interestingly, Stott’s father was a former football player for UNLV where he played as the team’s quarterback. As a first-year student at UNLV, Stott began to shine from the onset, starting all 54 games at shortstop, where he recorded remarkable statistics of .294/.359/.379. He stroked home one run and registered 29 runs batted in (RBIs). Stott’s performance peaked in 2018 when he was a sophomore. He started in all 59 games, recording an impressive .365/.442/.556 with four home runs, 32 RBI along with a leading NCAA 30 doubles.
After the exhilarating season as a sophomore, Stott played for the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League and the United States Collegiate National Team. In his junior year in 2019, Stott batted .356 with ten home runs and 36 RBIs over a course of 58 games. His incredible performance led him to be considered one of the top prospects for the 2019 Major League Baseball draft.
