NaLyssa Smith

NaLyssa Smith is a forward for the Las Vegas Aces. The 6-foot-4 Baylor alum was born on August 8, 2000, and was selected by the Indiana Fever with the second overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft. She earned WNBA and Associated Press All-Rookie honors in her first professional season. As of September 12, 2026, Smith remains listed on the Las Vegas Aces’ 2026 roster.

Smith played her college basketball at Baylor, where she developed into a highly decorated frontcourt player. Her college honors included Big 12 Player of the Year recognition, the Wade Trophy, consecutive Katrina McClain Awards, multiple All-America selections and a role on Baylor’s 2019 NCAA championship team. She entered the WNBA as a versatile interior scorer and rebounder with experience contributing on both ends of the floor.

Smith spent her first three WNBA seasons with Indiana before moving to Dallas in a February 2025 four-team trade. On June 30, 2025, Dallas traded her to Las Vegas, where she helped the Aces win the 2025 WNBA championship. Her game is built around physical interior play, rebounding, finishing around the basket and the ability to operate as a mobile forward within different frontcourt lineups.
