BIOGRAPHY

Ricky Turcios is an American professional Mixed Martial Artist who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He was born on February 9, 1994, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Turcios began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of eleven and went on to win numerous grappling competitions before transitioning into MMA. After making his amateur debut in 2011, he compiled a record of 7-1 prior to turning professional. His pro debut took place in 2012 when he faced off against Tyler Juarez at Tuff-N-Uff: Future Stars Of MMA and came away with a submission victory via rear naked choke.

After winning two bouts under the King Of The Cage banner, Turcios signed with UFC as part of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series 2018 where he defeated Roldan Sangcha-An via unanimous decision. He made his official UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 125 against Francisco Trinaldo losing via third round submission due to a triangle choke/armbar combo move applied by Trinaldo at 4 minutes 27 seconds into the fight.

Following this defeat, Turcios picked up three straight wins including two finishes over Damir Hadzovic and Jalin Turner both by way of technical knockout and one split decision over Devonte Smith which earned him a performance bonus from The Ultimate Fighting Championship organization for Fight Of The Night honors alongside Smithy.

He returned to action later that year for another split decision victory this time against Brok Weaver but unfortunately suffered back to back losses afterwards which prompted him being released from his contract with UFC despite having gone 3-2 during his run there including bonus earning performances twice throughout his tenure as well as being part of an exciting Comeback Performance Of The Year contender bout opposite Turner during 2018’s finale event held on December 15th .

In 2020 Ricky signed again with UFC following four consecutive victories outside the promotion to face off against Rafael Alves once again within Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series where he earned yet another impressive first round finish by means of guillotine choke submission coupled with devastating ground strikes becoming henceforth eligible for rehiring into Ultimate Fighting Championship roster fulltime setting himself up for further success inside octagon upon future return engagements within it’s cage walls whenever such opportunity should arise eventually
