Mounir Lazzez is a professional mixed martial artist and kickboxer who currently competes in the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Born on June 28th, 1988 in Tunisia, Lazzez began his martial arts career training kickboxing and jiu-jitsu at a young age. He is known for his aggressive style of fighting which includes heavy punches, powerful kicks as well as submission holds.

Lazzez made his professional debut in 2011 when he competed at Super Fight League’s “SFL Challenge” event where he scored a unanimous decision victory against Abhishek Chauhan. From there Mounir went on to compete mainly within the Middle East region before making his way to Europe through promotions such as Abu Dhabi Warriors and Brave Combat Federation. During this time period Mounir was able to compile an impressive 11-2 record while also becoming the first ever Brave CF Welterweight World Champion following his knockout win over Carl Booth in 2017.

In 2019, Mounir signed with UFC after receiving an invitation from Dana White himself during Dana White’s Contender Series: Season 3 episode 3 event where Mounir earned a split decision victory over Ali Qaisi. Since joining UFC, Lazzez has put together a 2-1 record with wins over Abdul Razak Alhassan and Niklas Stolze respectively while having one loss that came at the hands of Belal Muhammad via split decision.

Outside of MMA competition Lazzez runs an MMA training center called The Team Nino in Tunisia which provides instruction for youths interested in learning various forms of martial arts including jiu-jitsu, boxing and Muay Thai among other disciplines while also offering programs designed specifically for self defense classes or women’s only fitness sessions. Additionally Lazzez is actively involved within social media circles regularly interacting with fans across multiple platforms such as YouTube & Instagram; often posting content related to both training camps & lifestyle related topics alike .

Moving forward into 2020 it would appear that Lazez’s next move will likely be another fight inside the Octagon as he continues climbing up towards competing against some more prominent contenders within the welterweight division given that he already holds wins against two current fighters on UFC’s roster thus far . Ultimately whether or not we see him face off against someone like Kamaru Usman remain to be seen however what can be said without doubt is that no matter who stands across from him once again you can expect nothing less than an exciting bout filled with plenty action packed moments brought about by one of today’s rising stars – Mounir “The Sniper”Lazzaz
