Mohammad “The UAE Warrior”Yahya

Mohammad Yahya is an Emirati mixed martial artist who competed in the UFC’s featherweight division under the nickname “The UAE Warrior.” The UFC lists him as not fighting as of September 29, 2026, and records his UFC Octagon debut against Trevor Peek at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi on October 21, 2023. Yahya lost that bout by unanimous decision, then returned to competition with victories over Kauê Fernandes in August 2024 and Steven Nguyen in July 2025. The UFC identifies him as the first Emirati fighter in UFC history.

The UFC lists Yahya’s place of birth as London, England, his height as 69 inches, and his professional career as beginning in 2014. His background includes regional Brazilian jiu-jitsu and kickboxing competition, and the UFC profile identifies him as a former UAE Warriors Arabia champion. Yahya says he began training for fighting at age 14 after watching The Ultimate Fighter, holds a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and has a black belt in kickboxing. His profile presents him as a versatile MMA fighter with experience in both striking and grappling, rather than as the Olympic wrestler described in the unverified previous biography.
