Jarno Errens is one of the top fighters in the UFC. He started his martial arts training when he was just 10 years old, and by age 14 he had already won Dutch national championships in kickboxing and Muay Thai. He has continued to compete at a high level over the years, earning several more titles across multiple combat sports.
Errens made his UFC debut in February 2017, winning via submission against Thibault Gouti at UFC Fight Night 105. Since then, he has alternated wins and losses but remains a formidable competitor inside the octagon with an impressive record of seven wins and five losses (as of May 2021). His most notable victory came against former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos at UFC Fight Night 143 in January 2019 which saw Errens win via unanimous decision after three rounds.
In addition to competing on a professional level, Errens is also an accomplished coach who heads up “Team Jarno”, located near Rotterdam in The Netherlands. At Team Jarno’s gym they offer classes for all ages ranging from children’s programs through to advanced Muay Thai instruction for adults – helping produce some of Europe’s best MMA prospects including current Bellator middleweight Andy Manzolo and recent Cage Warriors signee Ismail Naurdiev among many others.
Outside of fight-related activities, Errens enjoys spending quality time with his wife Lucille walking their two dogs or playing video games together – something that helps him stay relaxed throughout fight camps as well as giving him some much needed rest away from training sessions!
On top of being an avid gamer himself, Errens also loves watching movies such as Predator or The Dark Knight Rises & anything starring Bruce Willis or Arnold Schwarzenegger. Away from entertainment (and fights), you can often find him working out at any number of local gyms during down time – ensuring that he keeps fit while continuing to develop new skillsets outside the ring/octagon too!
