Hunter Azure

Hunter Azure is an American mixed martial artist who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight division. He was born on April 23, 1999 in Puyallup, Washington and raised in Tacoma. At a young age, Hunter was already showing a passion for sports. As an amateur wrestler, he won numerous local championships before transitioning to MMA at 21 years old.

Since his professional debut in 2018, Hunter has compiled an 8-0 record as a featherweight fighter and quickly gained attention from MMA organizations around the world. In 2020 he decided to sign with UFC and made his promotional debut against Keegan Agostini at UFC 251: Usman vs Masvidal on July 11th of that year. After dominating the first round with strong striking and relentless grappling pressure, Hunter claimed victory by unanimous decision after three rounds of hard fought action.

After this impressive win over Agostini, people began to take notice of Hunter’s potential as one of the best up-and-coming fighters in mixed martial arts today. His next fight came against Chase Hooper at UFC Fight Night 183: Hermansson vs Vettori II which took place on December 5th 2020 where he won again by unanimous decision after three rounds; extending his undefeated streak to nine wins in total so far!
