BIOGRAPHY

Anthony Birchak is one of the most prominent athletes in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). He is widely known for his successful stints in the UFC, Bellator MMA and Titan Fighting Championships.

Birchak was born on February 15th, 1986 in Tucson Arizona to Mexican immigrants. His early childhood was spent living on a farm and he began learning martial arts at an early age growing up with boxing, lucha libre and bjj as his main focus. In 2003, he graduated from high school where he become an All-State wrestler while also competing in judo tournaments throughout the state of Arizona during his senior year of high school.

After high school graduation, Anthony went on to study psychology at Pima Community College before transferring to Grand Canyon University to continue studying psychology. During this time period he also began training MMA full-time and competed professionally for the first time when he entered into a Gladiator Challenge tournament held by Roy Englebrecht Promotions (REP) in 2007 where he won both fights by submission within the first round. After continuing success fighting locally across Arizona, Birchak signed a multi-fight deal with Bellator MMA where would go on to compete five times between 2010–2011 winning four out of five matches including pushing former bantamweight champion Joe Warren all three rounds before losing via unanimous decision.
