Alan Patrick is an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) competitor and a Brazilian mixed martial artist. He currently competes in the Lightweight division of the UFC and has an impressive 18-3 professional record, with 8 victories by submission, 5 victories by knockout and 5 victories by decision.

A native of Brazil’s Minas Gerais state, Alan started training in martial arts at age 13 when he began practicing judo. At just 16 years old, he transitioned to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). After winning several regional tournaments during his mid-teens, he earned his black belt in BJJ at 19 years old. Shortly thereafter, Alan started competing professionally as a mixed martial artist (MMA).

In 2010, Alan signed with Shooto Brazil and won all three of his fights there between 2010–2012 before moving on to fight for Jungle Fight in 2013 where he went 4-1 over the next two years while making a name for himself as one of Brazil’s top lightweights. In 2015 Alan moved up to bigger promotions such as Legacy FC & RFA before signing with UFC in 2016 where he made his debut against Damir Hadzovic at UFC Fight Night 92.

Since joining the UFC roster, Alan has gone 6-2 including wins over Stevie Ray via TKO at UFN 119 & Damir Hadzovic via unanimous decision at UFN 123 – both bouts taking place that same year – 2018 was another successful year for him which saw him secure back to back submissions wins over Thibault Gouti & Scott Holtzman respectively; most recently defeating Ryan Sanders via unanimous decision this past June 2020 at UFN 172 “Eye vs Calvillo” event held on Yas Island Abu Dhabi UAE . As a result of these performances throughout 2020/2021 season have earned him recognition within top 15 lightweight rankings worldwide by various media outlets; positioning himself as one possible title contendership material within next 2–3 years if keeps consistent level performance going forward into 2021&22 seasons ahead .

Alan draws inspiration from fellow MMA fighters Anderson Silva & Wanderlei Silva whom helped shape who he is today since early career days transitioning from Judo To BJJ then later onto professional MMA competition – His unique jiu jitsu style developed through attending numerous seminars around world holds its own amongst peers along with hard work dedication put towards physical preparation routine allowing him take edge whenever steps into octagon cage come fight night .
