BIOGRAPHY

Aaron Phillips is an American mixed martial arts fighter who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He was born on April 5, 1990 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Phillips began studying karate at a young age, and eventually earned his black belt. His competitive career began when he joined the United States Air Force after graduating high school in 2008. During his time with the USAF, he competed in several staff SFT Tournaments, where he racked up numerous titles and accolades including three-time all service champion. In 2009 Phillips left the military to focus on his fighting career full time.

In 2010 Phillip’s signed with XFC and had his first professional fight against Joe Condon at XFC 13: Apocalypse event which ended with a second round submission victory for Phillips by rear naked choke hold. In 2013 Phillip’s moved to Legacy Fight Championships where he went undefeated until signing with UFC in 2014. Since then has gone 3-2 while competing as part of UFC’s lightweight division earning wins over Scott Holtzman and Damacio Page while suffering losses to Alvaro Herrera and John Makdessi .

When not training or competing Phillips enjoys spending time with family , racing motorcross , fishing , boating , playing golf , participating in obstacle courses races like Tough Mudder & Spartan race events . He also likes to giving back to community through teaching self defense & grappling classes . Currently based out of Dallas/Fort Worth area Aaron continues his pursuit towards becoming one of MMA’s best athletes .

Aside from competition Aaron is father of two children whom both have taken interest into martial arts as well following footsteps their father laid down for them helping teach them discipline & respect about life inside & outside of cage / octagon respectively speaking

Phillips currently holds a record of 19-8 overall professional fights along having fought some highest levels MMA promotions throughout world such GLORY Kickboxing promotion wherein 2017 made appearance versus Dutch kickboxer Andy Souwer making successful transition into pro kickboxing career beforehand fighting under various promotions during amateur years prior turn going professional shortly after debuting against Souwer losing decision that night still gaining much respect doing so given vast experience Souwer holds compared Aaron himself although gained momentum since therewith continued onward path winning notable bouts later year thus far been journey filled many highs lows but firmly stands own looking forward what future may bring next
