Travis Etienne Jr., born on the 26th of January, 1999, is known for his successful career as a professional American football player. He has made a name for himself as a running back for the Jacksonville Jaguars, an accomplished team in the National Football League (NFL). However, his journey in the sport started way before this, tracing back to his early years in the small town of Jennings, Louisiana.

Like Etienne, Jennings, too, is marked with a Louisiana Creole heritage. With a father engaged in the oil industry working for a well service company and a mother, Donnetta, who serves as a nurse, his upbringing was firmly rooted in hard work and dedication. These values are evident in his career, which kicked off in his high school years.

Etienne’s talent for the sport became clear during his senior year at Jennings High School. During this period, he managed an impressive rush of 2,459 yards with 39 touchdowns. By the end of his high school career, he exhibited a total of 8,864 yards with 115 touchdowns. But his high school statistics were only the tip of the iceberg.

Eventually, his talent garnered attention from the major recruiting services and he was rated a four-star recruit by the 247Sports.com Composite. He was also listed as the 15th highest-rated running back recruit in the country. With such accolades, Etienne committed to play college football for Clemson University on the 21st of January, 2017.

At Clemson University, he made significant strides. Owing to his disciplined training and hard work, Etienne led the team in rushing during his freshman year in 2017.
