Copeland’s football journey began in earnest after his potent college football career at Cincinnati. Despite not being picked in the 2019 NFL draft, his talent didn’t go unnoticed, and he was quickly signed as an undrafted free agent by the Los Angeles Rams on May 14, 2019.

However, the initial bloom started to fade as Copeland found himself waived during the final roster cuts on August 31 the same year. This did not mark the end of Copeland’s time with the Rams, as they promptly signed him to the team’s practice squad the following day.

With the dawn of the new year, Copeland found himself moving up in the ranks once again. On January 9, 2020, the Rams signed the skilful footballer to a reserve/futures contract. This, however, was short-lived, and he was waived once again during the final roster cuts on September 5, 2020. Copeland’s football journey took a riveting turn as he was elevated to the active roster on September 12 for the week 1 game against the Dallas Cowboys. Despite his reversion back to the practice squad post-match, this stint solidified his potential in the game. But as 2020 drew to a close, Copeland faced a minor setback when he was placed on the practice squad/COVID-19 list by the Rams on December 22. The ordeal was short-lived, and Copeland found himself back on the practice squad just four days later.

Going into 2021, Copeland started the year on a high note by signing a reserve/futures contract with the Rams on January 18th. However, he was again waived by the Rams on August 31, 2021. Despite the setback, the very next day saw him re-signed to the team’s practice squad.

The highlight of Copeland’s career arrived when he was promoted to the active roster on November 26, 2021. This promotion led to an illustrious chapter in Copeland’s career as he became a Super Bowl champion when the Rams triumphed over the Cincinnati Bengals.

In the spring of 2023, Copeland re-signed with the Rams, on March 27. Despite being waived later that year, on August 29, he was quickly re-signed to the squad’s practice.
