But as 2020 drew to a close, Copeland faced a minor setback when he was placed on the practice squad/COVID-19 list by the Rams on December 22. Going into 2021, Copeland started the year on a high note by signing a reserve/futures contract with the Rams on January 18th. However, he was again waived by the Rams on August 31, 2021. Despite the setback, the very next day saw him re-signed to the team’s practice squad.

In the spring of 2023, Copeland re-signed with the Rams, on March 27. Despite being waived later that year, on August 29, he was quickly re-signed to the squad’s practice.
