Cole Beasley's Biography

Born on April 26, 1989, in Little Elm, Texas, Cole Dickson Beasley began his journey in American football at Little Elm High School. As an option quarterback, his leadership led the Lobos to the Texas UIL-4A playoffs in consecutive years. Beasley, who excelled in the football field, was also notable for his academic performance. His athletic prowess earned him a district co-MVP, posting 1,184 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, 1,570 passing yards, and 12 touchdowns. Despite his remarkable records in high school, he was only rated as a two-star recruit by Rivals.com.

Nevertheless, his impressive high school record caught the attention of Southern Methodist University (SMU), which offered him a scholarship. At SMU, Beasley was converted into a wide receiver, and he proved his mettle by featuring in 11 games with seven starts as a freshman. He finished third on the team with 42 receptions for 366 yards and three touchdowns. He continued to improve, setting records such as 87 receptions (the second for a single-season in school history), which confirmed his growth in this new position.

After college, Beasley’s journey to professional American football was not an easy one. Despite his records and talent, he went undrafted in the 2012 NFL draft due to his small size, a significant factor in the highly physically demanding sport. However, his dreams of playing in the NFL came to fruition when he was signed as a free agent by the Dallas Cowboys, his hometown team.

Beasley’s rookie year with the Cowboys was not without its hurdles; he contemplated retiring from professional football due to personal issues. He returned, however, and made the Cowboys’ final 53-man roster. Over his time with the Dallas Cowboys, Beasley grew into a polished player. After an impressive stint with the Cowboys, Beasley was signed by the Buffalo Bills in March 2019, with a four-year contract worth $29 million. His time at the Bills saw him continue to excel, hitting new career highs and being named second-team All-Pro. However, after a couple of productive seasons with the Bills, Beasley entered a brief period of retirement in October 2022. Soon after, he came out of retirement and rejoined the Bills, contributing heavily to their campaign for the rest of the 2022 season.

Parallel to his career in professional sports, Beasley demonstrated a passion for music, releasing his debut single “80 Stings” in 2017. He went on to establish an independent record label named ColdNation Records and release his debut album “The Autobiography” in 2018.

Beyond his ventures in sports and music, Beasley also attracted attention for his stance on the COVID-19 vaccination. In June 2021, he publicly announced his decision to refuse the vaccine, leading to a slew of repercussions. He was fined multiple times for violating the NFL’s COVID-19 protocol, and he faced significant backlash from fans.
