Jarred Vanderbilt

Jarred Vanderbilt is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on April 3, 1998 in Houston, Texas.

Vanderbilt first started playing basketball at an early age and went on to attend Victory Prep Academy where he excelled both academically and athletically. After graduating high school, he committed to play college basketball for Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team representing University of Kentucky in Lexington. During his freshman year with The Wildcats, Vanderbilt played 23 games scoring five points per game with seven rebounds as well as recording several steals and assists.

In 2018 Vanderbilt declared himself eligible for the NBA Draft but unfortunately suffered a foot injury that prevented him from attending pre-draft workouts or any other activity related to the draft such as individual interviews or physical activities. As a result of his injury, he was unable to be selected during the actual draft and ended up signing onto Denver Nuggets summer league squad afterwards instead.

Unfortunately due to another ankle injury prior to the 2019–20 season Tennessee alum sat out most of that season before eventually being traded from Nuggets to Oklahoma City Thunder in February 2020 alongside two additional players while also receiving two future second round picks in return. Later that same year he signed onto Portland Trail Blazers where is currently still playing today including participating at NBA Bubble tournament series close by Disney World which has been going on since July 30th 2020 where Jarred has managed five starts so far averaging 11:31 minutes per game along with four points total scored over those five games combined thus far..

Despite all injuries and adversity throughout his career so far Jarred remained determined not only contribute positively towards winning culture within teams he’s been part of but also become recognized amongst top tier athletes across entire league itself thanks mostly due versatility offered through 6’9” 215 lbs frame giving him unique advantage when it comes defense as well offensive execution enabling him use range skillset fit many different roles within team’s system whether it helping facilitate ball movement transition offense setting screens off ball rim protection rebounding etc… At just 22 years old there’s no telling how much potential lies ahead coming this talented young athlete hopes prove doubters wrong establish himself true household name among rest elite caliber talent around world!
