UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Craig is set to feature a matchup between two of the top lightweight contenders in Michael Morales (-265) and Jake Matthews (-278). Both fighters bring plenty of experience into the octagon, so this bout has all the makings of an exciting match.

Morales is coming off a split decision loss to Gregor Gillespie at UFC Vegas 19 and will be looking to regain his winning ways against Matthews. The 28-year-old Mexican featherweight is 13-4 in MMA with eight wins via submission. He has an impressive wrestling base, but he also packs heavy hands that can put opponents away quickly when given the chance. In addition, he’s shown great durability throughout his career as well as good recovery skills after taking damage from strikes or other submissions attempts. This should give him a slight edge over Matthews if they do end up on the ground for long periods of time during their fight night showdown.

Matthews will enter this bout on an impressive five fight win streak and currently sports a professional record of 17-4 overall in MMA competition with ten wins by TKO/KO and four by submission. A former Australian welterweight champion, he’s known for having solid striking skills which have proven effective both standing up as well as on the ground due to his strong wrestling base (he won gold medals at both Greco-Roman and freestyle World Championships). His endurance is also excellent; never getting tired even when going through extended exchanges with opponents like Alex Oliveira earlier this year at UFC 253 where he ultimately earned a unanimous decision victory despite being outstruck 213 to 89 significant strikes according to FightMetric stats.

Given these facts it appears that Morales may have slightly better chances than Matthews heading into their clash at UFC Fight Night: Allen vs Craig due largely because of his grappling advantage over “The Celtic Kid” who hasn’t faced anyone close to his level yet when it comes down control/submission attempts from top position or guard positions either one might find themselves in during their scrap together soon enough come April 24th 2021 inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena Jacksonville Florida live on ESPN2 pay per view starts 8 PM ET writers predicts winner Michael Morales via unanimous decision after three rounds action packed excitement closely contested match from bell till final horn blows victorious crowd cheers celebrating teams cornerman holds gold shiny championship belt proud father hug son comfortly postfight interviews media scrum follows photo op smiles earner success team took home cash prize bonus sponsoring deals vaccine awaits next battle royal begins bookmaker adjust odds accordingly betting lines move accordingly gamblers rake profit double down bet big hit jackpot recent UFC run luck continues cruise ship life awaits follow suit footsteps fellow countrymen turn dreams reality faith fate destiny confirmed dreamers believe optimism alive strive journey toward future rejoice victories along way prosperity blessing eternal joyful smile true happiness achieved
