Michael King's Biography

Michael King was born on May 25, 1995, in Rochester, New York. Graduating from Bishop Hendricken High School in Rhode Island, he continued on his path in baseball by attending Boston College. At the university level, he performed commendably well, attracting the interest of professional baseball teams.

King started his professional career when he was drafted by the Miami Marlins in the 12th round of the Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft in 2016. Positioned as a pitcher, young King quickly proved himself to be a valuable asset. He began his professional journey playing within the minor leagues, starting with the Gulf Coast Marlins and then subsequently moving up the ranks to the Batavia Muckdogs and Greensboro Grasshoppers.
