Hayden Birdsong

Hayden Birdsong, an established American professional baseball pitcher, was born on August 30, 2001. Since his debut in Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2024, Birdsong has been playing for the San Francisco Giants, carving out an exceptional reputation for himself within the league and beyond.

Birdsong’s journey to the professional baseball field began in Mattoon, Illinois, where he completed his high school education at Mattoon High School before moving on to Eastern Illinois University. Over the course of 11 games with Richmond, Birdsong logged a splendid record, managing a 2.05 ERA with an impressive pitching tally of 61 strikeouts, thus solidifying his status as an upcoming baseball star.

Birdsong’s successful baseball journey reached its climax on June 26, 2024, when he was selected for the 40-man roster. The same day marked his promotion to the major leagues for the first time. Birdsong’s major league debut was hosted at Oracle Park, where he faced the Chicago Cubs. Despite it being his first major league game, he managed to pitch for four and two-thirds innings, allowing only three runs.
