📖 Did Not Play (DNP) and Game Completion Rules
Sport-Specific Minimum Play Requirements
| Sport | Minimum Play Requirement (Selection is “Live”) | Exception & Notes on Premature End |
|---|---|---|
| NFL / NBA / NHL | Player records a single snap (NFL) or second of play (NBA/NHL). |
Injury Protection (Optional): If an offensive player (NFL) or any player (NBA/NHL) starts and exits the game in the 1st Half due to injury and does not return, the pick may be graded as a DNP (Void). |
| MLB (Hitter) | Player is in the starting batting lineup OR records at least one plate appearance (as a starter or substitute). |
If a game is suspended/shortened but declared an Official Game by MLB (typically 5 innings complete), picks are graded based on the final, official statistics. |
| MLB (Pitcher) | Pitcher records at least **one pitch thrown** in the game. | |
| Tennis (Single Match) | Both players must **start the match** and complete at least **one full game**. |
If a player retires or is disqualified (DQ) **after** the first full game is completed, all picks for the match are graded as a Loss (using the final official stats to settle the projection). If retirement occurs **before** the first full game is completed, the pick is a **DNP** (Void). |
| NASCAR / F1 / Golf | Athlete officially **starts** the race/round/tournament. | If the event is canceled and no official winner or final standings are declared by the league/tour, the pick is a **DNP**. |
| eSports (LoL, CS:GO, etc.) | Player is listed in the starting lineup and records stats in at least **one map** of the scheduled match. | If the entire match is canceled or postponed outside the Universal Game Cancellation window, the pick is a **DNP**. |
