His high school career statistics bear testimony to his prodigious talent, as he racked up an impressive 48 total touchdowns, 3,000 yards through the air, 2,500 yards on the ground, and intercepted the ball eight times on defense. These incredible numbers were more than just figures—they were a testament to Restrepo’s versatility, tenacity, and crucially his potential to succeed at a higher level.

A significant turning point in Restrepo’s career trajectory transpired when he was courted by and subsequently committed to the University of Miami, thus taking the first strides towards his college football career. Restrepo initiated his first year at Miami in 2020 as a true freshman, wherein he played nine games. Despite this being his maiden year, he made his mark by making a reception for 12 yards. Emerging from his first year with moderately conservative numbers, Restrepo braced himself for the forthcoming football season. In 2021, he featured in all 12 games, improving his numbers significantly. He recorded 24 receptions, accounted for 373 yards, and scored two touchdowns, thereby cementing his place in the team.

The subsequent year, 2022, saw Restrepo participate in seven games, starting three of those. He rounded off the season with 21 receptions, a total coverage of 240 yards and again found the end zone twice. By this juncture, Restrepo had visibly become a crucial part of Miami Hurricanes’ offensive contingent, leading to his return as the team’s leading receiver in the year 2023.
