Born and bred in Mechanicsville, Virginia, Warren was exposed to a rich culture of sports early on, fanning the flames of his passion for football.

As a young boy, Warren attended Atlee High School, an institution known for fostering talented athletes. There, he diversified his sports knowledge by participating in baseball and basketball. However, he truly shined when he was selected as the starting quarterback of his high school’s football team. This role made a significant impact on his development as a remarkable athlete and is a testament to his versatility in the field.

During his junior season in high school, Warren’s football statistics became a testament to his growing skill. He managed to throw for 876 yards and score nine touchdowns. However, in a twist of fate, Warren decided to reassess his options, leading him to decommit from Virginia Tech and reopen his recruitment.

In a significant turning point of his football journey, Warren signed to play at one of the most prestigious universities for football— Penn State, embarking on a new chapter of his life as a student-athlete. During his first year at Penn State, he played in two games but preserved a redshirt on that year. This move attests to his strategic thinking and eye for the long game.

Once again, he demonstrated his versatility by playing both as a tight end and a fullback. He made five receptions, achieving 61 yards and one touchdown. Furthermore, he rushed six times, advancing six yards and scoring two touchdowns.

His performance during his third (redshirt sophomore) season at Penn State was groundbreaking. Warren successfully caught 10 passes for a total of 123 yards and scored three touchdowns, making him a reliable asset for the team.
