TreVeyon Henderson's Biography
TreVeyon Henderson was born on October 22, 2002, in Hopewell, Virginia, where he quickly showed a natural talent and passion for football. He attended Hopewell High School, where he firmly established himself as one of the most formidable players in his age group across the entire state. Throughout his high school football career, he accumulated over an impressive 4,000 yards and notched up 50 touchdowns, a record that relentlessly showcased his talent on the field.
The evidence of Henderson’s sheer talent and potential was never more apparent than in the 2019–2020 football season. During this time, he was the recipient of the prestigious Virginia Gatorade Football Player of the Year award. This accolade is a testament to his hard work, skill, and the undeniable impact he had on his team’s success.
However, in a twist of fate, Henderson was unable to complete his senior season due to the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The lingering health crisis led to Virginia moving its fall sports season, including football, to the spring. Despite this setback, the burgeoning football star was not deterred, and he began gearing up to take his skills to the next level.
Henderson started his college career at Ohio State University in January 2021, and it was here that his football journey began to truly flourish. He made his Ohio State debut against Minnesota, contributing to a 45–31 victory for his team. He recorded two carries for 15 yards and made a spectacular 70-yard catch that resulted in a touchdown.
Despite being in the early stages of his college career, Henderson continues to break records and earn recognition. For instance, in his third game, he managed to shatter Archie Griffin’s freshman single-game rushing record, securing 277 yards on just 24 carries and scoring three touchdowns. This led to him achieving the distinction of having the third-most yards by an Ohio State running back in a game.
Henderson’s exceptional performance did not go unnoticed, earning him the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week. His ongoing success was further highlighted during Week 13, when he faced the Michigan Wolverines and shattered Ohio State’s freshman record for touchdowns from scrimmage, successfully achieving a staggering 19 touchdowns.
Having such an incredible start to his football career, it’s clear that even though he is just at the beginning, Henderson is on a path that hints at great things to come. He’s quickly becoming a key player in American college football, and with each game, he continues to exhibit his skill, determination, and passion for the sport. Despite the obstacles and challenges he’s faced, TreVeyon Henderson perseveres, consistently proving to be a formidable athlete both on and off the field.
