Theo Wease Jr., who was born on June 25, 2001, is a talented standout in the world of American football. As a wide receiver, he currently plays an integral role in the Missouri Tigers. Prior to his time with the Tigers, however, he championed the field as a member of the Oklahoma Sooners team.

Born and raised in Allen, Texas, Wease Jr. started honing his football skills at a young age. He attended Allen High School, where he was admired for his athletic prowess on the football field. His skills and dedication to the sport led to him being handpicked to participate in two significant events during his senior year in 2019: the coveted Under Armour All-America Game and the equally prestigious All-American Bowl.

Considered a five-star recruit, Wease Jr. commanded attention not only from his peers but also from numerous colleges. His talent and potential were undeniable, so much so that the University of Oklahoma proudly announced that Wease Jr. committed to play college football for them. This commitment marked the beginning of his journey in college-level football.

In 2019, during his initial year at Oklahoma, Wease Jr. showcased his talents at 13 games. As a freshman, he proved his mettle by racking up eight receptions for 136 yards and two touchdowns. The following year, his sophomore year in 2020, he solidified his place on the team and further improved his skill set. Wease Jr. took part in all of the season’s 11 games and took the lead spot with 37 receptions covering 530 yards and four touchdowns.

However, in 2021, Wease Jr. suffered a major setback at the start of the season. He injured his foot in the first game, which forced him out of the field for the remainder of the season. This devastating hurdle, however, did not stop him from making a comeback. Eager and determined, Wease Jr. returned on the field in 2022, proving resilience and dedication to the sport.

Despite being sidelined for most of the previous year, he managed to score phenomenally in his comeback, garnering 19 receptions for 378 yards and four touchdowns. After demonstrating an incredible performance in his comeback year, Wease Jr. made a monumental decision – he put his name in the transfer portal, ending his run with the Oklahoma Sooners.

Continuing his college football career, Wease Jr. transferred to the University of Missouri where he currently operates as a highly impactful wide receiver for the Missouri Tigers. Despite the bumps in the road, his journey in the football world is still a long way from over. From his formative years in Texas to his current spot with the Missouri Tigers, Wease Jr.’s journey is an inspirational reflection of his passion and dedication for football.
