Quinn Tucker Ewers, born on March 15, 2003, has solidified his place in the field of American football as a top-notch quarterback. Presently, he is an integral part of the Texas Longhorns team, having previously demonstrated his skills as a freshman for the reputable Ohio State Buckeyes.

The Texas-born footballer, who spent his early days up until the age of eight in Pleasanton, Texas, was raised in the city of Southlake following his family’s relocation. From an early age, Ewers showcased impressive athletic capabilities. Ewers’s fondness for sports wasn’t just restricted to football; he was equally enthusiastic about baseball.

Speaking of Ewers’s high-school years, Carroll Senior High School in Southlake nurtured his burgeoning talent. Ewers honed his football skills under the guidance of Coach Riley Dodge, and his innate capabilities earned him a football scholarship from Graham Harrell during his sixth grade. Ewers’s passion for the game and his relentless hard work began to pay off when, as a sophomore, he successfully completed 291 of 402 passes, covering an impressive 3,998 yards. His record of scoring 45 touchdowns against a mere three interceptions was noteworthy.

Ewers’s gaming prowess took the Southlake Carroll to the Texas 6A Division I quarterfinals. Unfortunately, they were defeated by Duncanville. However, the loss didn’t dent Ewers’s spirit. Instead, he used it as a valuable lesson for improvement. By his junior year, even though he had to sit out six games due to injury, he managed to finish the season with a remarkable 2,442 yards and an impressive 28 touchdown passes in eight games.

His senior year was significant, with several outlets recognizing him as the top overall recruit in the 2022 class. Ewers first committed to the Texas Longhorns in August 2020, nearly two decades after Vince Young, the previous quarterback with a perfect 1.000 247Sports composite rating. However, Ewers decommitted from the Longhorns in October, before deciding to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes in November 2020.

Ewers officially started his stint with the Buckeyes by enrolling at Ohio State in August 2021. His debut was against Michigan State Spartans in November 2021, where he took two snaps at the end of the game, leading the Buckeyes to a win.

In December 2021, Ewers proclaimed his decision to transfer to the University of Texas and join the Longhorns squad, where he took up the crucial role of the starting quarterback for the 2022 term. During the 2023 Big 12 Championship Football Game, Ewers broke records by clocking the highest passing yards in a single conference championship game. Lauded as the MVP for the conference title, Ewers’s place in football’s hall of fame was firmly cemented.

Beyond his achievements on the gridiron, Ewers happens to be a devoted Christian. In the financial aspect, he was the pioneer amateur athlete to sign a NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deal, which was valued at over $1 million.
