Deploying the key position of a wide receiver, he is currently known for his role on the Louisiana State University (LSU) Tigers team. Lacy’s football career, however, began even before his tenure at LSU, when he was demonstrating his skills as an athlete at a younger age in his home state of Louisiana.
Lacy’s early years were spent in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Growing up in the heart of the state, he was molded by his surroundings and his love for football. His foray into the game began at Thibodaux High School, setting the stage for his brilliant career ahead. Displaying remarkable talent on the high school football circuit, Lacy carved a significant role for himself. His senior season was particularly impressive, as he recorded 54 receptions for 864 yards. The end of his season with the University of Louisiana was a critical turning point for Lacy. The budding football star made the decision to transfer to Louisiana State University (LSU) to continue refining his craft. Participating in his first year at LSU in 2022, Lacy played in two out of 14 games, managing to secure 24 receptions covering 268 yards.
In 2023, playing behind Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. in his position as the third receiver, Lacy displayed a commendable performance. He began ten out of the 13 games and managed to score seven touchdowns on 30 receptions that covered an impressive 558 yards. Following his impressive performance that year, Lacy confirmed his return to LSU, ready to make an impact on the field for the 2024 season.
