Kaleb Johnson, born on February 22nd, 1993, is a retired American football guard whose career is highlighted by transitions and various experiences with multiple teams in the NFL. Remembered as a standout player in college, Kaleb’s journey in professional football commenced with memorable playing years at Rutgers, where he was acknowledged for his exceptional skills and consistent performance.

During his time at Rutgers, Johnson participated in fifty games, making a name for himself as an infallible guard. Throughout his senior year, he started all 13 games cementing his reputation as a steadfast left guard. His determination and consistent performance did not go unnoticed. Recognizing his noteworthy sportsmanship, both the media and the league’s head coaches bestowed upon him the title of honorable mention All-Big Ten at guard.

Following his remarkable college career, Johnson entered the professional realm by signing with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent on May 7, 2015. However, his time with the Ravens was cut short when he was waived off on September 5, 2015, only to sign onto the practice squad the next day. Noting his potential, the Ravens promoted him to the active roster on November 30, 2015. His time with the Ravens ended when he was waived on December 12, 2015.

After his departure from the Ravens, the Cleveland Browns picked up Johnson off waivers on December 14, 2015. Following a similar pattern of events, he was waived on September 3, 2016, and taken onto the practice squad the next day. Unfortunately, his tenure there was short-lived as he was released the following day.

The next team to recognize Johnson’s potential was the Arizona Cardinals. Johnson joined the Cardinals’ practice squad on September 29, 2016, leading to him signing a reserve/future contract with them on January 3, 2017. Despite offering him a future contract, the Cardinals eventually waived him on September 2, 2017.

Johnson found his next opportunity with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he joined their practice squad on December 13, 2017. Once again showcasing his potential, he was offered and signed a reserve/future contract on January 10, 2018. Unfortunately, he was waived off on June 14, 2018.

Continuing his professional journey, Johnson signed with the Chicago Bears on August 4, 2018. After a short duration of seven days, he took leave of the Bears on August 11, 2018. Two days later, Johnson switched his alliance to the Minnesota Vikings on August 13, 2018. Unfortunately, his association with them ended on August 31, 2018.

It was then, on December 14, 2018, that Johnson signed with the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad and subsequently signed a reserve/future contract with them on January 14, 2019. With a mutual conclusion to their association, Johnson was waived by the Eagles on May 1, 2019.

Venturing into the Arena Football League, Johnson was assigned to Baltimore Brigade on May 7, 2019. Shortly afterward, he signed up with the Ottawa Redblacks on May 19, 2019. Due to undisclosed circumstances necessitating his retirement, Johnson was moved to their retired list three days later, thus closing the curtain on his dynamic professional football career.
