The quarterback, who spent the early part of his education being home-schooled, went on to attend Murrieta Valley High School in Murrieta, California. During his time in school, his impressive abilities on the football field began to shine through, marking the start of his promising career.
Bachmeier demonstrated consistency and strength as a four-year starter in high school. He accumulated 13,150 passing yards and an additional 2,190 rushing yards, totaling a remarkable 15,340 all-purpose yards. A prolific player, Bachmeier is credited with 156 passing touchdowns coupled with 30 interceptions, as well as recording 32 touchdowns from his runs. Recognizing his natural talent, both 247Sports and Scout rated Bachmeier as a four-star recruit as he was leaving high school. This status signaled his nascent potential and opened up several opportunities for him to embark on a collegiate football career. In May 2018, he made a verbal commitment to join Boise State University’s football team, the Boise State Broncos. He officially signed with the team in December of the same year and was enrolled by January 2019.

He was drawn to the team’s offensive scheme and highly values the relationships he formed during his recruitment. Additionally, the city of Boise’s charm and Boise State’s track record of effectively developing its players played a significant role in persuading Bachmeier to commit to the university.
However, Bachmeier’s journey did not stop at Boise State. On January 19, 2023, Bachmeier made the decision to transfer to Louisiana Tech where he would play for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. Later that year, on November 28, 2023, Bachmeier entered the transfer portal once more, signalling his somnambulant intentions to find newer arenas to hone and demonstrate his skills.
Bachmeier ultimately ended up transferring to Wake Forest, where he now plays for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Since transferring, he’s started in two games, displaying impressive performances and maintaining his relentless pursuit of excellence on the field.
Beyond the realm of football, Bachmeier enjoys a close-knit family life as the eldest among five siblings. His sister and three brothers, like him, share an affinity for sports.
