Dillon Gabriel was born on December 28, 2000, and since a young age, has been making waves in the world of American football. Known for his agility, precision, and unwavering commitment to the sport, Gabriel has made a notable impact as a quarterback, playing for interesting array of prestigious college teams, including the Oregon Ducks, the UCF Knights, and the Oklahoma Sooners.
A native of Mililani, Hawaii, Gabriel’s passion for football was first nurtured in his years attending Mililani High School. As a senior in the year 2018, he was honored as the Gatorade High School Football Player of the Year for Hawaii, on the back of impressively passing for 3,754 yards and 38 touchdowns. When he concluded his high school football career, he had accumulated a daunting tally of 9,948 passing yards and achieved 105 touchdowns.
Upon committing to play college football in 2018, Gabriel chose the University of Central Florida (UCF). He started his stint at UCF in 2019 as the backup to Brandon Wimbush. However, showcasing his true prowess, he took over during the maiden game of the season, which progressed to him starting the last 12 games of the season. Serving as a pivotal player for the UCF Knights, he helped the team record a stellar 10–3 victory, culminating with a 48–25 triumph over Marshall at the Gasparilla Bowl. During this season, Gabriel completed 236 of 398 passes for 3,653 yards, along with a record of 29 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Not more than a month later, on December 16, he revealed that he would be moving to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). After dedicating two seasons to the Oklahoma Sooners, Gabriel once again decided it was time to move, announcing on December 4, 2023, that he would be leaving Oklahoma to re-enter the transfer portal. Five days later, on December 9, Gabriel revealed that his next step would take him to the University of Oregon.
Making his debut with the Ducks, Gabriel passed for a staggering 380 yards. Strikingly, he also became the eighth college quarterback to surpass 15,000 passing yards, an exemplary feat of endurance and consistent performance.
