Cole Snyder's Biography

Born in Lakewood, New York, Cole Robert Snyder is a revered figure in the world of American football. Currently, he holds a significant position as the quarterback for the Eastern Michigan Eagles. Before securing his tenure with the Eagles, he had also manifested his football prowess in games representing the Rutgers Scarlett Knights and the Buffalo Bulls.

Snyder’s journey in this remarkable sport commenced during his early years at Southwestern Central High School where he actively participated in football, baseball, and hockey. Notably, his talents intercepted the attention of many during his junior year when he outstandingly contributed 1,587 yards and 18 touchdowns in football. His sporting prowess did not go unnoticed though as he acquired the title of New York First Team Quarterback under All-USA and also stood as a top-10 finalist in the 2018 Connolly Cup.

Regarded as a three-star recruit, numerous well-established colleges offered him an open door to exhibit his talents on a larger platform. However, he displayed his allegiance towards Rutgers and committed to play college football for them, thus, choosing them over other renowned institutes like Lafayette, Maine and New Hampshire.

In 2019, Snyder started his true freshman season playing in two games where he showed a promising start by passing three attempts out of three for a total of 35 yards. The following year, he played only one game but impressively held his own against No. 3 Ohio State. The 2021 season brought more opportunities for him as he participated in six games, with 18 successful attempts out of 28 with a total of 130 yards and a touchdown. He also demonstrated his rushing ability by covering 42 yards.

After the 2021 season, Snyder indicated his intentions to modify his course by entering the transfer portal on November 30, 2021. Post this, he declared his transfer to Buffalo on December 17, 2021.

Subsequently, his time at Buffalo was marked by a season filled with elevating achievements. He initiated his journey with the Buffalo Bulls as their starting quarterback in all 13 games of 2022. By the end of the season, he achieved a record-breaking performance with 271 successful passes out of 461 attempts, covering 3,030 yards and 18 touchdowns. Thus, he emerged as the third quarterback in Buffalo’s history to have thrown 3,000 yards in a single season.

In an unforeseen turn of events, Snyder entered the transfer portal for the second time in his career on November 28, 2023. This was soon followed by his announcement on January 10, 2024, to transfer to Eastern Michigan, which marked the commencement of his new journey.

In conclusion, Cole Robert Snyder not only exemplifies an inspiring journey of hard-earned achievements and relentless passion but also stands as an embodiment of versatility. His journey, filled with commendable performance records and transitions among various universities, is proof of his dedication to the sport.
