Carson Beck's Biography

Carson Raine Beck, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, was born on November 19, 2002. His athletic abilities surfaced prominently during his teenage years while attending Mandarin High School, where he established a place for himself as a top-performing football player. Beck’s prowess in football was solidified when he was honored with the title of the 2018 Florida Mr. Football, after throwing for an impressive 3,546 yards and 30 touchdowns during his junior year.

In addition to his passing skills, Beck led his team to secure a Florida State Championship. In that game, he demonstrated extraordinary performance by throwing five touchdowns. During his senior year, he continued to maintain his rewarding football career with relentless determination and excellence, amassing 1,843 yards and 20 touchdowns with 278 completions.

Despite initially showing an interest in baseball and committing to the sport at Florida during his sophomore year, Beck later decided to focus his attention solely on football. He followed his new career trajectory by committing to Alabama, a decision he would later reverse to commit to playing college football at the University of Georgia, proving a significant milestone in his burgeoning football career.

Once Beck stepped onto the University of Georgia’s turf, his freshman year saw him operating as the backup in a quarterback room consisting of Stetson Bennett, JT Daniels, and D’Wan Mathis. In a game against Missouri, he made his first appearance during the fourth quarter, and followed with his first career touchdown pass in the subsequent season, during a 56–7 win against UAB. Throughout the season, he featured in three games, securing 176 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

As the 2022 season arrived, Beck ascended to the second-string quarterback position and served as the backup for Bennett. He made appearances in the first three games of the season, totaling 178 yards and two touchdowns. Performances against Vanderbilt saw him showcasing his phenomenal skills and solidifying his position by striking two touchdowns and 98 yards.

In 2023, Beck was selected as the starter for the opening match against UT Martin. He marked his first game as a starter with an impressive 294-yard throw and a touchdown, which he supplemented with another touchdown via a rush, leading to a 48–7 victory.

Further showcasing his exceptional abilities and skills, Beck led Georgia to triumph over several teams during the 2023 regular season, including Ball State, South Carolina, UAB, and Auburn. He also dominated against ranked opponents like Kentucky, Florida, and Missouri, displaying stunning performances both in passing and rushing. His consistent exploits led to a 12-1 season record, and he amassed 3,738 passing yards and 22 touchdowns by the end of the year. This secured Georgia’s victorious run in the 2023 Orange Bowl, with a historic 63-3 triumph over Florida State. Following the season, Beck chose to stay with Georgia instead of enlisting for the upcoming NFL draft.

The 2024 season unfolded with Beck being viewed as one of the top overall prospects for the impending 2025 NFL draft. During the season opener against Clemson, Beck delivered yet again, throwing for 278 yards and two touchdowns, which pivoted Georgia to a 34-3 victory. His remarkable performance throughout this season manifested in the form of multiple accolades, including being frequently named the co-SEC offensive player of the week.

Carson Beck, the quarterback of the Georgia Bulldogs, has shown tremendous growth and talent throughout his football career.
