Cameron Skattebo, a promising American football running back, was born on February 5, 2002. Skattebo’s journey in the sport has seen him move from the Sacramento State Hornets to the Arizona State Sun Devils where he currently resides. Skattebo’s formative years in Rio Linda, California, played an instrumental role in shaping his career in football.

Raised in the tight-knit community of Rio Linda, Skattebo attended high school at Rio Linda where his passion for football was ignited. His talent became omnipresent in his junior season when he rushed for an impressive 3,550 yards and landed a commendable 42 touchdowns. This remarkable achievement helped his high school team clinch a state championship. Skattebo’s exceptional talent didn’t take long to attract attention, and he soon committed to playing college football for the Sacramento State Hornets.

In his debut season for the Hornets in 2021, Skattebo already showcased the depth of his athletic prowess. He rushed for 520 yards, scored six touchdowns on 57 carries, and his electrifying performance earned him a place in the third team all Big Sky. Skattebo’s trajectory in his football career continued in an upward direction as he moved into the 2022 season.

Skattebo truly came into his own in the 2022 season. With a tally of 1,382 rushing yards, seven touchdowns, a pass for a touchdown, and an onside kick for a touchdown, Skattebo had a breakout season. The recognition came quick and heavy, leading to him being named first team all Big Sky and being awarded the Big Sky offensive player of the year. In addition to these accolades, he was also named a FCS All American.

Following the conclusion of the successful 2022 season, Skattebo made a move that would set the stage for an exciting phase in his career. He entered the NCAA transfer portal and transferred to play for the Arizona State Sun Devils.

At the Arizona State Sun Devils, Skattebo’s debut came in the fourth week of the 2023 season against USC. Skattebo completed two of his three passing attempts for 42 yards. He also rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown while also accumulating 79 receiving yards and a touchdown.

In a remarkable twist, Skattebo began his stint as a quarterback in week 12 against the Oregon Ducks. This was his first career start in this position, and he completed two of his six passes for 45 yards, albeit with an interception.
