This performance assisted in the routing of Bowling Green by a remarkable score of 44-3.

The 2019 season witnessed an astonishing performance by Gabbert as he completed 175 of his 316 passing attempts for a total of 2,411 yards. He also scored eleven touchdowns with eight interceptions. Alongside his passing performance, Gabbert showcased his rushing prowess by achieving 72 yards and three touchdowns. This exceptional performance in the season earned Gabbert the highly acclaimed title of the MAC freshman of the year.

The following year in 2020, Gabbert hit a career high by throwing for 308 yards and four touchdowns, playing a key role in Miami RedHawks’ victory over Akron by a score of 38-7. Despite the abbreviated season due to the COVID pandemic, Gabbert performed admirably, completing 23 of his 35 passing attempts for 384 yards and four touchdowns. In week nine of the 2021 season, Gabbert had an impressive game, throwing for 492 yards and five touchdowns, albeit with one interception. Despite this commendable performance, Miami RedHawks were defeated by Ohio by a narrow margin of 35-33. In the prestigious 2021 Frisco Football Classic, Gabbert completed 22 out of his 31 passing attempts for 228 yards and again demonstrated his ability by scoring two touchdowns. His performance was instrumental in winning Miami Ohio their bowl against North Texas, for which he was named the bowl’s Offensive MVP.

In the 2021 season, Gabbert marked his presence by completing 178 of his 299 passes for a whopping total of 2,648 yards, leading to 26 touchdowns with a mere six interceptions. His season was further hindered by a non-throwing shoulder injury that limited his participation to only four games. Yet, despite the injury, he successfully completed 74 of 115 passes for 816 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions. His rushing prowess stood on display as he accumulated 55 yards and a touchdown.

In week three of the 2023 season, Gabbert provided another star performance by completing 12 of his 20 pass attempts accruing 237 yards and three touchdowns. Along with an interception, Gabbert also led the team in rushing yards with a total of 75. Gabbert’s efforts culminated in Miami Ohio’s upset victory against Cincinnati in overtime. Unfortunately, in a week 8 game against Toledo, Gabbert suffered a season-ending leg injury.
