Bauer Sharp is known predominantly for his American football career as a tight end player in the sport. Born and raised in Dothan, Alabama, his football journey began at Northside Methodist Academy, where he started playing as a quarterback. Not long after, Bauer committed to play college football at Southeastern Louisiana. It was at Southeastern Louisiana that he redshirted his actual freshman season with their football team, the Southeastern Louisiana Lions. Apart from his notable passing game, he also proved to be quite a competent rusher, delivering ten times for 83 yards as a quarterback in the Wildcat formation. These numbers showed his spectacular talent and capability to excel in both passing and rushing aspects of American football.

Bauer Sharp’s career gained more momentum during his redshirt sophomore year. With catching 29 passes for 288 yards and securing three touchdowns, he grabbed attention throughout the Southland Conference. His rushing game was equally impressive – managing 133 yards and five touchdowns on 25 carries. His outstanding performance didn’t go unnoticed as he was named as part of the first team All-Southland Conference, a significant recognition of his performance and ability.

However, at the end of his astounding season, Bauer decided to switch gears and enter the NCAA transfer portal. His decision led him to the famed Oklahoma Sooners. Transferring to Oklahoma was a game-changing moment in Sharp’s career. Coming into his first season with the Sooners, he held the position of the team’s starting tight end.
