Bauer Sharp is known predominantly for his American football career as a tight end player in the sport. Born and raised in Dothan, Alabama, his football journey began at Northside Methodist Academy, where he started playing as a quarterback. However, this was just the start of what would go on to become an enviable career in football for Sharpe.

The early stages of his education saw him at Northside Methodist Academy. Here, it was clear that he was destined for a life on the football field due to his skill and passion for the sport. It was during this time that he played in the position of a quarterback. After a brief stint at Northside Methodist Academy, he transferred to Dothan High School. He made his mark there by passing for 1,082 yards coupled with eight touchdowns in his senior year. This was no small feat and presented a glimpse of the extraordinary talent and potential that Bauer possessed.

Not long after, Bauer committed to play college football at Southeastern Louisiana. It was at Southeastern Louisiana that he redshirted his actual freshman season with their football team, the Southeastern Louisiana Lions. He exhibited commendable competence, catching 11 passes for 78 yards. Apart from his notable passing game, he also proved to be quite a competent rusher, delivering ten times for 83 yards as a quarterback in the Wildcat formation. These numbers showed his spectacular talent and capability to excel in both passing and rushing aspects of American football.

Bauer Sharp’s career gained more momentum during his redshirt sophomore year. With catching 29 passes for 288 yards and securing three touchdowns, he grabbed attention throughout the Southland Conference. His rushing game was equally impressive – managing 133 yards and five touchdowns on 25 carries. His outstanding performance didn’t go unnoticed as he was named as part of the first team All-Southland Conference, a significant recognition of his performance and ability.

However, at the end of his astounding season, Bauer decided to switch gears and enter the NCAA transfer portal. His decision led him to the famed Oklahoma Sooners. Transferring to Oklahoma was a game-changing moment in Sharp’s career. Coming into his first season with the Sooners, he held the position of the team’s starting tight end. This move proved to be rewarding and allowed him to showcase his talent at a national level.
